    Dr. Daphne Capon grew up in Smithtown, New York. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree Summa Cum Laude from Hamilton College and her M.D. degree from the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse in 1989.

    Dr. Capon completed her Pediatric Internship and Residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and was honored to be appointed as Pediatric Chief Resident. She then transferred to the New York Hospital – Cornell Medical Center, where she completed two years of specialty training in Pediatric Endocrinology. Dr. Capon is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    Dr. Capon also volunteers her time as a consultant to the local public school and a local Preschool. She lives in Woodmere with her husband and three children.

    Dr. Susan Drucker joined ProKids, LLP in 1989 and is a senior partner.

    Dr. Drucker graduated from the Sackler School of Medicine, in Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1982. She completed her Pediatric residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1985. She then transferred to the New York Hospital of Cornell University, where she completed a three-year Pediatric Endocrinology fellowship.

    Dr. Drucker was board certified in Pediatrics in 1987. She is board eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Nassau County Pediatric Society.

    Dr. Drucker is fluent in Italian, Hebrew and American Sign Language.

    Dr. Drucker lives on the North Shore of Long Island with her daughter.

    Dr. Ronald Kahn is the managing partner of ProKids, LLP. Dr. Kahn started the practice in 1984 together with Dr. William Diamond.

    Dr. Kahn grew up in South Africa and received his M.D. degree from the prestigious University of the Witwatersrand in his hometown of Johannesburg.

    In 1977 Dr. Kahn transferred to New York and completed his Pediatric training at the New York Hospital of Cornell University in 1979. He has been board certified in Pediatrics since 1980 and is an assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    Dr. Kahn Lives in Queens with his wife, Sandy, and their five children.

    Dr. Daniel Miner received his M.D. degree from The Medical College of Virginia. He received his training in Pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical Center.

    Dr. Miner is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has been board certified in pediatrics since 1981. He has always had a special interest in behavioral and parenting issues and received additional training in these areas at the Harvard-Affiliated Touchpoints Project in Boston. Dr. Miner is a recognized authority in these fields and was featured on the television show “Brazelton on Parenting” which was seen nationwide on the Fox Family Channel in 1999 and 2000.     Dr. Daniel Miner has been with ProKids since 2007. Prior to joining ProKids, Dr. Miner had a thriving solo practice in Merrick, NY, for over 20 years. Dr. Miner lives in Merrick with his two teenage sons.

    Dr. Sharon Inkeles is a board certified physician who has been with Smithtown Pediatric Group since 1997. Dr. Inkeles was born in NYC and grew up in Great Neck, New York. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University in 1979 and then went on to attend Cornell University Medical College, where she earned her medical degree in 1983. Dr. Inkeles completed her internship, pediatric residency, and pediatric chief residency at Babies Hospital of Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in NY from 1983 to 1987.

    Before joining Smithtown Pediatric Group in 1997, Dr. Inkeles worked in the Division of General Pediatrics at Stony Brook University Hospital, including her role as Pediatric Residency Director from 1991 to 1997. Dr. Inkeles is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Suffolk Pediatric Society.     Dr. Lashley has been in pediatric practice since 1990. His undergraduate training was at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Lashley finished his medical training at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, and completed his residency in pediatrics at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

    Dr. Lashley is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Nassau Academy of Medicine. He also serves the Department of Health on their Immunization Task Force as Chair of the Physician’s Education Committee, and is one of the Physician Advisors to the local chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    Dr. Lashley also has been on the Executive Board of the Nassau Pediatric Society for several years as the Chairman of both the Membership and Immunization Committees and was President of the Nassau Pediatric Society in 2002. In 2007 Dr. Lashley was elected the Treasurer of the American Academy of Pediatrics NY Chapter 2, and in 2009, he was elected again as Secretary of the Chapter.

After completing her residency in pediatrics at Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center at Long Island Jewish, she underwent 3 years of intensive training in Pediatric Gastroenterology at North Shore University Hospital.

    Dr. Berman is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She recently chaired the membership committee of the Nassau Pediatric Society, and served as President of the Society from 2012 through June 2013.
